Repulse
Published January 7, 2026
An oscillator that measures buying and selling pressure based on the relationship between close, high, low, and open prices over a lookback period. Originally invented by Eric Lefort, The indicator calculates bull power and bear power separately, then applies EMA smoothing.
The final Repulse value is the difference between smoothed bull and bear power. Positive values indicate buying pressure dominates; negative values indicate selling pressure. Crosses through the zero line can signal potential trend changes.
This is a momentum indicator useful for confirming trend direction or spotting divergences. The line is colored based on whether the value is above or below zero.
