Range Detector

Identifies consolidation ranges using a volatility-weighted moving average combined with ATR-based thresholds. When price moves within a tight channel, the study draws a box highlighting the range boundaries.

Based on the TradingView indicator Trend Range Detector by Zeiierman. Boxes are color-coded to show whether price eventually broke out above (bullish), below (bearish), or remains within the range (neutral).

Useful for identifying accumulation/distribution zones before breakouts. Settings include MA length, ATR period and multiplier, and separate styling options for each box state.
